Signs You Have a Flat
A thumping noise, the steering pulling to one side, a vibration through the wheel, or a tire pressure warning light all point to a problem. Don't keep driving on a flat. Driving even a short distance can destroy the tire and damage the wheel.
Get Somewhere Safe
Slow down gradually, signal, and pull as far off the road as you can. A parking lot or side street is ideal. On a highway, use the right shoulder and get as far from traffic as possible. Turn on your hazards.
Should You Change It Yourself?
In a driveway on a nice day, maybe. On the shoulder of the 401 or 403 with traffic flying past, the safer choice is to stay in the car and call for help. Changing a tire on a highway puts you right next to live traffic. Winter makes it worse: salt and rust can seize lug nuts, and jacking a car on ice is risky.
What We Do
Our flat tire service brings a professional floor jack and impact tools to your location. We remove the flat, install your spare, and check its pressure before you drive away.
After the Spare Goes On
Compact spares are for short distances at reduced speeds. Check the sidewall for limits and get your tire repaired or replaced soon.
